Important Announcement: As of July 2012, The Bookkeeping Center was formally dissolved as a nonprofit entity. However, the bookkeeping training program, DISCOVERBOOKKEEPING will endure under the direction of The Bookkeeping Company of New York City (TBCNYC). The Bookkeeping Center (TBKC), a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, builds the workforce one bookkeeper at a time. Our mission is to build opportunity for low-income individuals by providing affordable training in bookkeeping.  DISCOVERBOOKKEEPING, our key program, offers instruction in the fundamental tools of bookkeeping and computerized accounting software, as well as career development opportunities. Upon successful completion of the program, students are equipped with the basic occupational skill-set to enter into the field of accounting. We provide our students the necessary training for their professional growth, as an individual, in the community, and as vital members of the workforce.
